Man muss nicht aus dem kalten, dunklen Finnland kommen, um anspruchsvollen Melodic Gothic Rock zu machen. 120 durchschnittliche Nebeltage in der Heimatstadt reichen ebenso aus ;-) . Wenn dann auch noch ein Quäntchen Progressive das ganze ausschmückt, haben wir die richtige Rezeptur, mit der die Ulmer Band ?Astray Path? rockt. Die klassisch ausgebildete Gesangsstimme von Sängerin Kathrin Appel gibt Astray Path seine ganz besondere Note. Ihr kräftiger und durchdringender Klang überstrahlt die Instrumente in ergänzender Weise. Sowohl harte als auch gefühlvolle Gitarrenpassagen werden durch volle Keyboardklänge mal träumerisch, mal virtuos ergänzt. Die variationsreichen Schlagzeug-Rhythmen und kreative Bassläufe geben der Musik ein stabiles Fundament. Die CD enthält 8 Tracks in denen Astray Path ihre ausgefeilte Rhythmen, Klavier- und Streicherpassagen, sowie die klassisch ausgebildete Altstimme unter Beweis stellen.
You don’t need to come from dark and cold Finland to create ambitious Melodic Gothic Rock. 120 foggy days in avarage at the home town are also suitable for that ;-) Taking a grain of progressive elements will lead to the right mixture that is played by the Band “Astray Path from Ulm. The classically educated voice of singer Kathrin Appel gives Astray Path a special touch. Its powerful and dominating sound outshines the instruments in a complementary way. Hard and emotional guitar parts are complemented by dreamful or virtuos keyboard sounds. Manifold drum rhythms and creative bass lines provide a stable base to the music. The CD consists of 8 tracks of sophisticated rhythms, piano- and string parts, complemented by the classically educated alto voice.
