GOTHIC AUS DER HAUPTSTADT DES NEBELREICHS
Man muss nicht aus dem kalten, dunklen Finnland kommen, um anspruchsvollen Melodic Gothic Rock zu machen. 120 durchschnittliche Nebeltage in der Heimatstadt reichen ebenso aus ;-). Wenn dann auch noch ein Quäntchen Progressive das ganze ausschmückt, haben wir die richtige Rezeptur, mit der die Ulmer Band “Astray Path” rockt.
Die Band vereint harmonische Klavierpassagen, harte Gitarrenriffs und melancholische Melodien mit der klassisch ausgebildeten Stimme von Frontfrau Kathrin Appel. Die fünf Musiker lassen in ihre Musik sowohl Elemente aus Gothic und Rock, als auch aus der Klassik einfließen. Passend zur Musik drücken die Texte Gedanken, Gefühle und Träume aus. Das Quintett ist seit 2003 aktiv, u.a. auch erfolgreich bei Wettbewerben wie dem Emergenza. Das Album “The Hidden Line” erschien im Dezember 2008 bei HECKMANN Sounds.

GOTHIC FROM THE CAPITAL OF THE REALM OF FOG
You don’t need to come from dark and cold Finland to create ambitious Melodic Gothic Rock. 120 foggy days in avarage at the home town are also suitable for that ;-) Taking a grain of progressive elements will lead to the right mixture that is played by the Band “Astray Path from Ulm.
The band unites harmonic piano sequences, hard guitar riffs and melancholic melodies with the classical educated voice of singer Kathrin Appel. The five musicians mix elements from Gothic, Rock and classical music. According to the style of music, the lyrics deal with thoughts, emotions and dreams. The quintett works together since 2003, also succesfully on competitions like the Emergenza.
Their album “The Hidden Line” has been released in December 2008 at HECKMANN Sounds.
